nanos is a team of young, ambitious people from different disciplines, in particular various field in computer science, business administration and law, which is convinced that the success of upcoming video games in measured above all by the multiplayer and co-op experience.

nanos pursues this concept since it was established in 2011 and founded in 2016. We provide the possibility for all developers to achieve this goal amongst other with an all-in-one framework, whether the other developer is an established developer/publisher or an indie-studio.

Our vision is to set new benchmarks in multiplayer experience and to make community's imaginations possible to influence the game in a way game developers never had an eye on.

Our history

All participants of nanos were involved in differnet multiplayer modification projects before. Our team members led, developed and were or are members of multiplayer modifications for Grand Theft Auto IV, Mafia 2 and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. During this time we learned not only how to develop multiplayer projects for games from a technical perspective, but also about the wishes and needs of the community and its members.

Based on these experiences and before nanos was founded as a compnay, some of use grouped up to modify the game Grand Theft Auto V in late 2014. At the end of 2015, when ready to release the first version after great progress, Take 2 took our project down after seeing it as a possible threat to their business.

After this experience we had to set off along a new path. After surveying our community in late 2015 we decided to create a new multiplayer project, namely Just Cause 3 Multiplayer, this time in accordance with the publisher Square Enix.
